How good is good?

This is something I heard from a friend -
There are 2 types of good people:
- Those who will stay hungry and let you have their share
- Those who split what they have equally between the 2 of you

Its a thought thats stuck around in my mind. The first kind is not necessarily better than the second, and is probably not practical either.
The fact is, if you forgo your share you might regret it some day, and the person you gave your share to would mostly not be happy to know about your sacrifice either!

So, essentially, maximization of happiness involves splitting equally (or a weighted split depending on the need), and not sacrifice!
So move out Nirupama Roys and Tulsi Viranis!

Interestingly, in the 1st case .. no one would end up eating the bread .. an infinite loop (assuming B does the same as A).
