Diwali 2K7

In many ways, Diwali this year was different. Just 4 days, and I was engaged in soo many activities :D

It included - watching Saaw-wariya, which apparently in Tamil means 'Come, die'. (Probably meant to be a sequel to DDLJs Come, fall in love).

Met my youngest (cousin) bro - Kabir, for the first time :)

This was also the first Diwali in the new house (after 22 years at the previous one!), which, being on the 10th storey, had a truly spark-tacular view of the city!

For a change, Nehu and I were enthused enough to make Rangoli 2 times in the 4 days, which pleased mom immensely :)


This was also the longest period spent without checking work-related mails..

One of the most memorable diwalis :)

Indian rail trivia :)

Have you tried booking under the ladies quota with sex set to male?
Its allowed in irctc :) And no, its not a bug..
"Male above 11 years is not eligible for Ladies quota" it seems ;)
Now I also recollect, guys under 7 or so were allowed in the Ladies room of the club where I went swimming...
Who decides these weird age-limits???

Buffalaxed!

When I first saw this video, I just couldnt stop laughing!
So I went ahead and watched the other buffalax videos too (including the Tunak Tunak Tun video).
P.S. - Its funny how your mind agrees to the buffalaxed lyrics when you dont know the language!

40 and still dances like a dream!

Hum to aise hai bhaiyya :D

Shreya and Sunidhi sound awesome together. First it was Imaan ka Asar from Dor, and now Hum to aise hai from Laaga Chunari me Daag.
Sunidhi sounds like the bossy elder sister, and Shreya, the younger cute one.
For a change they have both sung at a much lower pitch, and Shreya's voice sounds sweet despite that :)

Majdhaar me apni naiyya,
Fir bhi dekho mast hai hum bhaiyya..

P.S. : The generous use of the word bhaiyya in the song is quite interesting ;)
