Fond memories
I wasn't too much of a TV buff as a kid. But the one serial that I distinctly remember is Crystal Maze. It ran during the early 90's, and seemed so ahead of its times.
I recently found some of its episodes on youtube, and I still find it just as amusing!
Here's a link to its first episode. Follow the related links for some more of the episodes.

Meta sadism
Is the pleasure you get when a sadist's plan falls flat, also sadistic?

Mutually exclusive
Are the following mutually exclusive:
1. Enjoying the beauty of a place and clicking photographs of the same
2. Professional success and personal success
3. Beauty and brains
4. Being dependent and being independent
5. Being a parent and being a kid
6. Loving a person and liking the person
7. Being one of a kind and being a {girl|boy}-next-door
I wonder...
P.S. - aimed at those who know who the following is for:
8. Being married (or getting the girl) and blogging regularly

Greedy
At one of the talks in office - "Sure you should be greedy, but be long term greedy - you dont want to do [beep] and then go to jail!"
Interesting concept "long term greedy" :)

Traffic adaptive dividers
Have you ever been annoyed by miles and miles of traffic on one side of the divider, and empty road on the other side?
Apparently gou-maata's across the country share our sentiment, and have volunteered to function as adaptive dividers during their leisure time, as exemplified by the following picture:

The high of seeing water-fall
We kick-started new year with a trip to Shivanasamudra and Talakad.
The highlight of the trip was Bharachukki falls. IMO the necessary and sufficient description of the Bharachukki waterfall at Shivanasamudra is that - its the best waterfall to be under! Several blogs mention that the best time to visit is July-Oct, in the monsoons, when the falls are huge. But I would like to politely disagree and say that the best time to go is when you can go under the falls - possibly in Jan, after monsoons.
It's a must-visit for anyone who is a water-baby! :)
